Railpen marks one year of charity partnership with Railway Benefit Fund
Railpen is marking the first anniversary of our official charity partnership with Railway Benefit Fund (RBF), celebrating a year of collective action in support of the UK rail community.
Since the partnership began, Railpen and RBF have worked closely on a wide range of fundraising and awareness‑raising initiatives, helping raise more than £66,000 to support railway people and their families facing financial hardship or difficult life transitions.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to the people behind the industry, recognising that long‑term financial security and immediate wellbeing go hand in hand.
A partnership rooted in action
Over the past 12 months, Railpen colleagues have actively supported RBF’s work through a diverse programme of events and initiatives. Highlights include involvement in the Million Step Team Challenge, will writing support, and Railpen’s and hosting of the 2025 Heart of Gold Awards.
Jonathan Clark, Director of Corporate & Client Affairs at Railpen, said:
“One year on, our partnership with the Railway Benefit Fund is a powerful example of Railpen’s purpose in action. While we work every day to secure our members’ long‑term futures, we are equally committed to supporting the wider needs of the people who keep our industry moving. RBF’s work provides help at moments when it matters most, and we’re proud to stand alongside an organisation that shares our long‑standing commitment to the rail community.”
Jo Kaye, CEO of RBF, added:
“It has been an incredible twelve months working with the team at Railpen. We are a people‑first industry, and this partnership is built on shared heritage and a deep commitment to the wellbeing of the UK’s Railway Family. Railpen’s support helps ensure that no one in our industry has to face hardship alone.”
Looking ahead
As the partnership enters its second year, Railpen and RBF remain focused on building on this momentum, continuing to work together to ensure the railway family receives the support it needs – today and in the future.
