Ashley leads Railpen’s Internal Audit function, providing independent assurance across all areas of the business to the Trustee, the Railpen Board, and colleagues. She combines multi-sector experience in agile and regulated industries with a strong foundation in professional services, gained during her time at PwC. This experience has shaped her ability to build and transform assurance teams and deliver practical solutions that make a real difference.

A Chartered Member of the Institute of Internal Audit (CMIIA), Ashley focuses on process and control optimisation and transformation, working with colleagues to understand how culture shapes behaviours and impacts assurance outcomes. She believes in collaboration to strengthen processes and support Railpen’s long-term objectives. Her work is underpinned by a risk-based, agile approach designed to deliver assurance that adds value and supports continuous improvement.
