Julie Alexander

Julie is the Director of Trustee Fiduciary Services at Railpen, having joined in 2021, Julie began her career at Barclays Capital where she wrote ISDA confirmations for complex equity derivatives. Her first in-house role was as in Investment Officer with the Coal Pension Schemes, which were £26bn in assets at the time. She spent 13 years at Willis Towers Watson as a Senior Investment Consultant advising a wide range of Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pension schemes on all aspects of their investment strategy; also taking on the role of Head of Consultant Relations during that time.
 
Most recently, she worked with the large Dutch fiduciary manager Kempen, helping them grow their UK DB fiduciary business and leading their DC business. In her 25 year career, Jules has advised in excess of £90bn in assets both in the UK and in Europe.
 
Julie has an MA (hons) in Economics from Edinburgh University. She has been authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority to give investment advice since 2008.
